We are deeply saddened to learn about the tragic death of one of our younger Heritage Park residents, Delvin Ferrell, a 15-year-old student at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School. The entire Raleigh Housing Authority staff extends our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and community members as they process this loss of life.
We are committed to providing help and guidance to any of our residents who are in need of support. RHA encourages Heritage Park residents to seek counseling to assist in processing their grief and helping children through this loss. Support services are available through WCPSS, who has partnered with Transitions GriefCare, in hopes of better supporting grieving families and students. Transitions GriefCare offers a range of support services to help children and teens explore, understand and express their grief.
