ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS: Residential HVAC Replacements

Housing Authority of the City of Raleigh

Pursuant to General Statues of North Carolina, 143-128 et. Seq., sealed bids are invited and will be received by the Housing Authority of the City of Raleigh in the Authority’s 2nd floor conference room located at 900 Haynes Street, Raleigh, North Carolina 27604 until 2:00 p.m. June 12, 2024 at which time the sealed bids will be opened and publicly read.

Effective May 31, 2024: Bid Opening Date extended to June 21, 2024 at 2pm.

The bids shall provide the cost for furnishing all necessary equipment, materials, labor, related services, permit fees and complying with all related Federal (EPA, OSHA, and HUD), State and Local regulations for the following:

Base Bid (Lump Sum)

Work involves removal and replacement of up to one hundred twenty-five (125) existing residential HVAC systems. Scope will include but not be limited to removal and disposal of non-working HVAC systems, installation of new equipment that will efficiently heat and cool the type and size of dwelling unit.  Industry standard and certified start-up and testing will be required.

Beginning on May 20, 2024 copies of the documents may be obtained from The Raleigh Housing Authority’s office complex located at 900 Haynes Street Raleigh, NC 27604. Any questions regarding the project should be directed to the Raleigh Housing Authority’s Asset Management Department by calling 919-831-8300.

No bids will be considered or accepted unless at the time of its filing the same shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, or certified check on a bank or trust company insured by the FDIC and authorized to do business in North Carolina in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount. As an alternate, a 5% bid bond issued by a corporate surety licensed by the State of North Carolina may be filed with the bid. The Raleigh Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Raleigh Housing Authority prohibits discrimination in any manner on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, disability or sexual orientation and will pursue an affirmative policy of fostering, promoting and conducting business with woman and minority-owned enterprises.

Pre-bid conferences will be conducted on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 beginning at 10:00AM at 900 Haynes Street from which conference attendees will be escorted to (3) sites displaying examples of existing systems.

The bidder must include completed minority or women-owned subcontract documentation (form(s) regardless of the bid amount or the bids may be considered non-responsive and invalid.
