Assistant Director of Administration & Finance Admin. & Finance Dept: Duties include cash management, auditing and compliance reviews, account analysis, budgeting, developing reports, financial statements and reconciliations including upper level financials and notes. Able to manage and supervise accounting personnel and institute/manage systems of internal control. Considerable knowledge of and ability to apply accounting theories and principles and monitor results. Applicant should possess knowledge of federal, state, and local procurement regulations. Able to convey complex financial issues in a clear, concise manner. Attention to detail, initiative, intuitive ability, excellent understanding of a variety of financial arrangements, and supervisory experience required. Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in accounting and considerable experience in management level fund accounting or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Valid NC driver’s license required.

Housing Inspector Leased Housing Dept: Perform initial inspections of property per local building codes, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development requirements and lead hazard requirements. Assist in scheduling appointments with tenants and owners. Perform re-inspections of previously failed units to ensure compliance with housing quality standards (“HQS”). Complete inspection checklists and documents HQS violations. Input inspection data into the computer system. Prepare certification of rent reasonableness on all new units and for annual rent increases. Assist the Inspection Supervisor on an annual basis in gathering data for updating the Rent Reasonableness Database. Perform related work as required. Requires high school diploma or GED with technical level course work in carpentry, plumbing, electrical or related building trades preferred, and 1 to 2 years of experience in the building trade or inspections fields; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Pre-employment drug test and criminal background check required. Must maintain a valid NC Driver’s License. Visual Assessment Certification for Lead-Based Paint is also required.
