Housing Management Department

Welcome to the Housing Management Department. Housing Management collaborates with other departments to achieve the agency's goals for providing safe, decent and sanitary housing. This department provides housing to persons with low to moderate income. Housing Management is responsible for leasing, managing and inspecting 1,700+ units, which range from efficiencies to five bedrooms.

Housing Management has 11 Housing Managers, each responsible for overseeing approximately 190 public housing units. RHA believes that effective management is a critical factor to improving security and preventing crime, both of which are essential for bringing about and sustaining positive changes in our communities. Likewise, RHA views resident participation as the cornerstone of its anti-drug strategy and encourages families' active involvement. Social and community services are actively solicited to provide on-site assistance as needs are identified.

The Community Support Services Division provides case management to HOPE VI relocated public housing and Section 8 residents. Services include personalized counseling and referral services to human service agencies. Coordinates provisions of services to families in critical areas such as advocacy, technical assistance and supportive counseling

Three programs the Housing Management Department administers are the Public Housing Family Self-Sufficiency Program, Section 8 Family Self Sufficiency, and the KEYS program. All of these programs are volunteer programs that promote economic self-sufficiency.
