VIII.  QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTIONS:

1. HUD requires that a percentage of quality control inspections be performed annually.
2. The Inspection Division Supervisor may select and schedule monthly quality control inspections.
3. If the unit passes inspection, a pass letter will be sent to the owner or owner’s representative and tenant.
4. If the unit fails, a failed letter with the list of repairs will be sent to the owner or owner’s representative, copy to the tenant, allowing the owner or owner’s representative 30 calendar days from the date of the letter to complete the repairs.  This letter will specify that abatement will be placed on the HAP payment the first of the following month.
