SECTION 8 INSPECTION POLICY

VII. COMPLAINT AND SPECIAL INSPECTIONS:
- A complaint/special inspection is normally scheduled within 7 calendar days of receipt of written notification.
- If the complaint/special inspection involves a potential safety/health hazard and/or could be life threatening, an inspection will be scheduled within 24 working hours of notification.
- If the unit passes inspection, a pass letter will be sent to the owner or owner’s representative and tenant.
- If the unit fails, a failed letter with the list of repairs will be sent to the owner or owner’s representative, copy to tenant, normally scheduling a reinspection within 14 calendar days from the date of the letter.
- If the unit fails the second time, a letter will be sent to the owner or owner’s representative, copy to the tenant, normally allowing the owner or owner’s representative another 14 calendar days to complete the repairs. This letter will also notify the owner or owner’s representative that abatement will be placed on the HAP payments the first of the following month.
